HIGHLY recommend this book for all flute players. Great information on the history of the flute - it’s make, it’s performance, it’s creaters, and it’s performers. This book covers all the areas of the flute from the beginning Antiquity era, through the modern Boehm flute of today. Whether studying the flute’s history, or simply a flute player, it has helped me become a better musician by understanding the history of it.
