Your fighting for survive in a room that’s rising in temperature every second. Fire is spurting out from tunnels at your feet, with only a moment’s notice to evade the flames. Your new problem aside from dodging flames is that they now not only are coming from below you, but block your path to safety. That is the perilous situation Darren Shan, the half vampire, is in while doing one of this trials of death. Darren Shan was blooded into a half vampire while he was a boy, resulting in him aging 5 times slower than a human, thus staying a child longer. This is usually taboo but his master, Mr. Crepsley, felt it necessary to bring Darren into the family. This chapter in the series of Cirque Du Freak: Saga of Darren Shan is about Darren and Mr. Crepsley journeying to the Vampire Mountain for a gathering of all the vampires that happens every decade. The Vampire Princes meet, discuss matters, a big celebration happens, new vampires are brought to notice and sometimes go through trials, generals are tried, and rarely a new Prince emerges as well. Along with Darren and Mr. Crepsley is a little person who has a message to deliver to the Princes. This book is fiction. I highly recommend this book, and the 4 previous books to enable you to fully enjoy the 5th, which is by far the most interesting book due to the deep detail that is put into the vampires lifestyle.
