The second book by Anne Rice in the vampire cronicles was much better than the first Interview with the Vampire. I liked it because you were able to see Lestats point of view on similar events in Interivew. However, Queen of the Damned is simply the best Anne Rice novel there is. Maybe one of the best vampire novels there is. The only bad part, is that you have to read Interview and Lestat to get to Queen. My second favorite of Anne Rice novels is The Body Thief.
