This one caught my eye since I’m a girl who can’t resist a shiny new book about geology. It’s a fairly general book covering aspects of the science of geology – the study of the earth – with interesting photos and illustrations. Topics are generally confined to one two-page layout, rather than spilling halfway onto another page. I felt this unnecessarily condensed some topics to fit, while others seemed to have been needlessly expanded to fill the requisite two pages.
