This is the second book of The Pink Carnation Series. Surprisingly, I liked this one ever better then the first, which is an accomplishment in itself. Just when I’m finding the plot predictable, something happened that I would never have guessed would have happened. The characters were interesting, but I would have liked it if the plot was more finalized, especially concerning Miles and Richard. But maybe the author will address that in the next book. But my favorite thing about this series is the historical acuracy which, although it is not overt, shows itself in the behavior of the characters and most of the scenes. I highly recommend this series.
