After my first listen-through of this album, I have to say I was unimpressed. It’s a far cry from Keane’s ’Hopes and Fears’ piano rock days. That said, I usually listen to an album 5-10 times to ensure I’m giving it a fair chance, and it has since grown on me. The track ’Better Than This’ continues to make me cringe, but I’ve grown fond of ’The Lovers Are Losing.’ Tom Chaplin’s voice doesn’t seem as clear as it used to be, but this album is still worth a listen.
