I like this one a bit better than one of Scottoline’s other stand-alone novels, Save Me. This book also has a highly unlikely plot but all the pieces fit together (pretty much) and I liked the protagonist. The romance could’ve been left out as the romantic interest character was so underdeveloped but I guess he was needed to make the maximum happy ending.
