When a mysterious dome traps inhabitants of a small Maine town, it seems to bring out the worst in the people. There are a few exceptions: a physician’s assistant, the local newspaper editor some smart teens and a drifter but others just don’t have that team spirit. Think Lord of the Flies with guns. As one of the town selectmen uses the opportunity to seize full power, he inexplicably destroys the town. I like King’s earthy characters as always but I just didn’t get into the story. Too much death and destruction.
