I thought this book was going to be about vampires/werewolves/fairies, but it turns out, I was wrong. Read this book if you are interested in other supernatural/paranormal characters.

Hands down, Beautiful Creatures is the best paranormal book that I've read. In Gatlin, there are no secrets, and a new student means big news at the high school. It turns out that the new student is Lena Duchannes, the niece of Old Man Ravenwood. She's not just another girl though. She has powers that she can't control. So when Ethan, a mortal, comes to her house, they find a locket that makes them see visions of a burning house during the Civil War. They become unexpected friends, but time is running out. When Lena turns sixteen, she might go Dark. She might not be Lena anymore.
