When I read the back, it sounded interesting-almost a combination of Labyrinth (1986) and The Hollow Kingdom by Clare B. Dunkle. When I actually read it, however, I was sadly disapointed. Not only was the plot slow moving and predictable, but I was almost hoping the goodguys would lose. Whenever that happens, I know the book must be really bad. I certainly do not plan to read any more books of this series. Every time I read a modern romance, I’m hoping that it will be good, but it never is. So disapointing!
