From the Magic Tree House series. It was really cool, they go somewhere, i don't remember, and they run into the vikings, and they get saved by a sea lizzard monster like thingy.

Book 15 of the Magic Tree House Series. I happen to be a great fan of the vikings. As this is a children’s story, I noticed it wasn’t very violent, as viking were in real life. But a very fun story, with realistic facts about monks and the way they lived.
