The Hobbit is an excellent book for fans of adventure, fantasy, mythology, and just a plain good story.
One thing I like about the Hobbit is the well-thought out and interesting storyline. Tolkien crafts an exciting tale where you really get to know and care about Bilbo, Gandalf, and the band of dwarves as you follow them throughout their dangerous adventures.
This book is also an excellent prelude to the Lord Of The Rings. The Hobbit gives an insightful look into the character and personalities of hobbits in general. This really helps readers to understand how the four hobbits in the Lord Of The Rings act and think.
Lastly, the Hobbit taught me to accept and rise above any adventure that comes my way in life, just as Bilbo, the main character, did in The Hobbit. He had to find the strength and courage within himself to conquer obstacles in his road.
In summary, I highly recommend The Hobbit to a teen seeking an exciting and inspiring book.
