This book is a nice resource for the Minnesota road-tripper as it highlights eateries that might otherwise be missed by a traveler unfamiliar with an area. One minor detail that became slightly repetitive is the author’s apparent obsession with mashed potatoes. It should be noted is that this book was published in 2000, and so many of the establishments listed have closed, moved or changed their names. However, often a new restaurant worth trying will open in the same location.
