This book is about three kid who just inherit a very old house full of wonder. One of the kids, jarred, finds a book and then things start happening and he is getting blamed. The book is the key to the mysteries to the house and creatures within. I give this book 4 stars because even though it's short it is excellent! [Series: Spiderwick Chronicles #1]

I know this book is a little young for teens, but it is still a great read. If you start this, make sure you have access to the rest of series because they are REALLY fast reads.

When Simon, Jared and Mallory Grace move with their mother to the run-down Spiderwick estate, they do not have high hopes for their new home. However, they quickly discover that all is not as it seems in this place, especially after they discover a Field Guide to fairies and other magical creatures written by their great-uncle, Arthur Spiderwick. Once the siblings unlock the key to seeing the magical world around them, there is no turning back. The Spiderwick Chronicles movie has just come out, so check out all five books in the series and then go see the film!
