Byng, Georgia
I REALLY thought this book was good. I don't see why you don't want to read it. I don't believe you ever read it. But you have to now (because you promised) as long as I read Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. Oh, and there are some sequels.

Lord Brocktree : a tale of Redwall
Jacques, Brian
I love Redwall. I really, really LOVE Redwall. There are better ones you could start with (I'm not saying this one wasn't really good) but I thought you should start with this one because it's the one I read first. I had Ashley start with Taggerung because it's my favorite book EVER (I'm pretty sure nothing will ever beat Taggerung on my favorite books list). Tagg is so cool. The funny thing is that Lord Brocktree is like the only book in the Redwall series that never mentions Redwall. Redwall is my favorite series ever. Once Brian Jacques was traveling around the world and he came to Wild Rumpus and I got to meet him. Matthew came too. Brian Jacques was really cool. And he had a cool accent. There was a setup all over Wild Rumpus with his books on display and Redwall recipes all over (because in the books Redwall always has really good food). He signed two of my books. He was there to celebrate his new book that had just come out, Eulalia! and I thought it was his last book so I was really sad. But I found out not so long ago that it wasn't his last book (I don't know where I got the idea) so then I was really happy. I know this is insanely long so I'm just going to conclude... REDWALL IS REALLY COOL! And I think you'll really like it. And as an added bonus there are lots of them and they're still coming out (in case you want to borrow any of them I own most of them). I can tell you which ones are the best.

The forests of silence
Rodda, Emily
This series is a classic. They're pretty easy reads put they're really good anyway. There are actually three series in the Deltora thing (they have the same characters and you need to read the series in order and they're related in lots of other ways). First, there's Deltora Quest with 8 books. Then, The Shadowlands with 3 books. Finally, Dragons of Deltora with 4 books. They're all really good books even if they sound cheesy.
