Make This: Nontraditional Comic Arts

Grades 7-12. Think comics are only created with pens and India ink? Think again. Explore the range of media used to create contemporary comics including scratchboard, photocopies, collage and printmaking, and more traditional materials. No previous comic arts experience necessary. 
This project is funded with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Used Book Sale

Bargain hunters and book lovers take note: the Friends of the Library will hold a sale of hundreds of adult and children's fiction and nonfiction books in hardcover and paperback. Most books are withdrawn from the Hennepin County Library system or donated by the public. Funds raised will benefit the library. 
Book donations accepted at the library beginning Sept. 14. Adult, teen and children's books, CDs and DVDs in good condition.
