Used Book Sale
Saturday, Sept. 6, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 7, noon–4 p.m.

Location: Wayzata Community Room, 600 Rice St. Wayzata
Bargain hunters and book lovers take note: the Friends of the Library will hold a sale of hundreds of adult and children's fiction and nonfiction books in hardcover and paperback. Most books are withdrawn from the Hennepin County Library system or donated by the public. Funds raised will benefit the library. 
Sunday, Sept. 7, noon-4 p.m. Bag Sale $5/bag
Book donations accepted at the library beginning Aug. 1.

Art of Memory: Personal Journal
Fridays, Sept. 12–Oct. 3, 9:30–11:30 a.m.
Register Online or call 612-543-6150.
For adults 55+. Create a personal record of travels, memories or other important events from your life. Use writing, drawing, painting and collage memorabilia to create beautiful pages that capture your life experiences. Most materials provided, but bring personal photos. 
This project is funded with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
Presented in collaboration with Bloomington Theatre and Art Center.

Preschoolers and their caregivers. Join us in the Children's Garden to learn about fish from the Minnesota DNR Fisheries. We'll not only learn about the fish in our lakes, but also learn the basics of fishing. Held indoors if inclement weather.

Author Talk: Great Houses of Summit Avenue and the Hill District

Photographer and publisher Karen Melvin and writer Bette Hammel will present an interior tour of Summit Avenue based on the award-winning book "Great Houses of Summit Avenue and the Hill District." Enjoy some of the avenue's most historic and lavishly designed homes, and hear stories of the movers and shakers who occupied them, past and present.
