Paws to Read With an Animal
Saturday, Oct. 11, 3–5 p.m.

For families. Volunteers will help put young readers at ease so they can cuddle up with a certified therapy animal and practice reading aloud. Most libraries host dogs and you can call ahead to see if other animals will be visiting.

Used Book Sale
Saturday, Oct. 18, 10a.m. – 3 p.m.
Bargain hunters and book lovers take note: the Friends of the Library will hold a sale of hundreds of adult and children's fiction and nonfiction books in hardcover and paperback. Most books are withdrawn from the Hennepin County Library system or donated by the public. Funds raised will benefit the library.

Dance Together

For children 1 and up. Dance with your child to develop their physical, social and literacy skills. A maximum of 2 caregivers may attend with each child.  
This project is funded with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Master Gardener: Landscape Plants for Winter Interest
Thursday, Nov. 6, 6–7:30 p.m.

Plants - from trees to perennials - are admired for their beauty in winter, complementing the magic of hoarfrost. Some plants bring wildlife to your winter landscape, others show off when they drop their leaves.
