FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY |

Hennepin County Library supports the development of strong, active Friends of the Library groups throughout the library system. Each Hennepin County library will develop opportunities for Friends groups to help the Library foster excellence, reach out to the community, and model and nurture the love of reading.
All Friends of the Hennepin County Library groups promote the mission of the Hennepin County Library and work in collaboration with the Library staff, Library Board and Library Foundation of Hennepin County. All Friends groups are either independent non-profit organizations (501c3) or use the Library Foundation as a fiscal agent. All Friends groups are dedicated to raising awareness of library services and resources, volunteering, fund raising and promotion to support the local library and Hennepin County Library system. These activities are outlined in Partnership Agreements with the Library that are renewed annually. |
