Hennepin County Library programs reflect the mission to promote full and equal access to information and ideas, the love of reading, the joy of learning, and engagement with the arts, sciences and humanities.

Library programs promote literacy and the collection, technology, cultural and arts diversity, and the library's services and resources. Programs and events are planned to provide lifelong opportunities and to respond to the needs and interests of people of all ages, families, groups and local communities. Partnerships are encouraged to enhance the program experience and reach out to new and diverse customer groups.
