Meeting Reminder:Dec 2 Excelsior Library Community Advisory Committee
The final meeting of the Excelsior Community Advisory Committee will be held from 6:30-8:00 pm on Thursday, December 2 in the banquet room at the SouthShore Center in Shorewood.  SouthShore Center is located at 5735 Country Club Road in Shorewood.  Additional information about the facility and location can found at their website.

Now that I have seen the first look for the new Excelsior Library I have to question how the vision of the committee could approve of the plans. This building in no way captures the essence of the historical nature of downtown Excelsior. The building is way too modern to fit in with the rest of the buildings on Water street. Instead of being an asset it will become a sore thumb. I believe it will distract from the very quaintness of this small historic Main street. Thank you.
