Computer Labs at Brookdale Library, Eden Prairie Library, Ridgedale Library and Southdale Library contribute to lifelong learning by providing access to applications software and technology, online databases, and internet resources. These resources include:
Microsoft Office - create word processing documents, spreadsheets, databases, and slide presentations. Office XP includes the 2002 versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access software programs.
GlobalWriter- A multilingual word processor that allows you to create documents and print them in most of the world's languages. Special features include a choice of fonts and keyboard layouts and spell-checking functions for many languages.
Scanning-learn to scan images and documents into digital form. Use image editing programs Microsoft Photo Editor and Paint.
Tutorials-learn to use the available software and research tools at your own pace using tipsheets, and manuals.
CD Burning-save files to compact disc.
Accessibility software - scans and reads pages aloud, on-screen keyboard, and screen magnifier.
USB devices (e. g. thumb drives and digital cameras) may be used in the Computer Labs.
