- Hennepin County residents and property owners may obtain a free library card at any Library location. Bring identification showing your current address.
You may also apply online -- your card will be sent to your home by US Mail within two weeks.
- Residents outside Hennepin County may register their cards from their home library systems (Minnesota only). Bring your card into a Library location and it will be registered immediately. Submit an online application and include the library card number from your card and the registration will be completed within two weeks. Include an email address in your application and a message will be sent to let you know when the registration is complete.
- Organizations and businesses located within suburban Hennepin County may obtain an organization card. Applications must be completed online. Card(s) will be mailed to the responsible organization member within two weeks.
- For your convenience, always bring your library card when you visit the library.
- You are responsible for all materials borrowed on your library card from the time they are checked out until they are checked in.
- Please report a lost or stolen card immediately to avoid responsibility for unauthorized use.
- There is a $1 charge for lost or damaged cards.
- Notify the library of name and address changes so that your record can be kept current.
