The Hennepin County Library Board is  appointed by the County Board of Commissioners, and consists of
11 Hennepin County residents.

Requests or questions regarding the Library Board meeting may be directed to Char Sohlberg by telephone 952-847-8581 or e-mail at csohlberg@hclib.org or in writing to her attention at the Hennepin County Library Administrative Offices, 12601 Ridgedale Drive, Minnetonka, 55305. Persons with disabilities who plan to attend the Library Board meeting who may need auxiliary aids or services such as interpreters for persons who are deaf or hard of hearing, readers, large print or Braille, may also contact Ms. Sohlberg three work days prior to the meeting.
Vacancies on the
Library Board are publicized and citizens may apply through an open appointments process. (See also Open Appointments Process: Questions and Answers and the Open Advisory Board application form.) Vacancies are advertised in late Fall with applications due December 31st of that year.
