The Committee on the Future of Libraries in Hennepin County was created to examine possible solutions to existing and future library and governance issues for Minneapolis Public Library and Hennepin County Library systems. The Committee was charged with studying theser issues and recommended potential solutions in 2007. |

The Hennepin County Board of Comissioners, Minneapolis City Council and Minneapolis Library Board adopted resolutions to participate in this committee. The County Board named John Gunyou as Chair of the Committee.
