Reserves
Books and most audiovisual materials may be reserved. There is no charge. One hundred reserves are allowed per account.

You may ask staff to reserve materials for you, or you may do it yourself using the online catalog.

Do-it-yourself Reserves
For do-it-yourself online reserves, you need your library card barcode and PIN. Start placing your reserve when you see the Request Item button on the screen. When the material becomes available, you will be notified by phone or e-mail . To be notified by Internet e-mail, fill out the Email Notification request form.

Changing Reserve Status
Did you know that you can set your holds to "suspended" status during a period when you will be unable to pick up material (while on vacation, for instance)? While the reserve is suspended your name continues to move up the list, but the reserve is not filled until you set the status back to active.

To use this feature:
1. Connect to the Library Catalog.
2. Choose "My Account" from the menu tabs across the top of the screen.
3. Enter your barcode and PIN.
4. Choose the "Requests" tab from the Customer Account menu.
5. Under "Current Requests" on the left side, select the hold(s) to be changed by clicking the box to the left of each title.
6. Click the "Suspend/Activate" button.

You will see the status change recorded under the "Status" column.
