Your library is more than just books! Additional services provided by Hennepin County Libraries are highlighted below:

  Coin-operated Copiers
Offered at most libraries.

  Inter-library Loan
If the Hennepin County Library system does not own a book you want, staff may request it through an extensive inter-library loan network. Read the InterLibrary Loan FAQ or Ask a Librarian for more details.

  Legal Research Resources
Free online access to Westlaw at the Brookdale, Ridgedale, and Southdale Resource Libraries includes cases from the Minnesota Appellate Court, Minnesota Supreme Court, U.S. 8th Circuit Court, and U.S. Supreme Court. Minnesota Statutes Annotated, U.S. Code Annotated, U.S. Code Congressional & Administrative News, and more are also available.

  Microform Readers
Brookdale, Ridgedale, and Southdale have microfilm and microfiche reader/printers available for use.

  Museum Adventure Pass
The Museum Adventure Pass gives library users free admission for up to 4 people at participating museums and other organizations. More details

  Playback Equipment
Libraries have equipment to play library audio tapes, videos,CDs, DVDs plus cable television access. Call your local library for availability.

  Proctoring for Exams
Librarians can serve as proctor for tests and other examinations for distance students. Please read the Exam Proctoring Policy

  Tax Resources
Librarians have created a detailed listing of online library and government tax help resources for your use. During tax season, you will find a master form book at the libraries, along with various individual forms, for state and federal income tax purposes. IRS/AARP-sponsored assistance is available at many library locations from February to April each year. General information sessions are also scheduled during this time.

  Used Books
Many books and other materials withdrawn from the library system go on sale at bargain prices at the Library's book store, located in the Ridgedale Library, or check out the Book Sales sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
