Free tickets to the Omnitheater and Science Museum! Library volunteers who have worked 5 or more hours in the previous month can receive up to two free tickets to the Science Museum's Omnitheater and admission to the Science Museum.
Mystery of the Maya
Take a journey back in time with the explorers who unearthed this majestic ancient civilization in the jungles of Central America in the early 19th century. Filmed on location at sacred sites throughout the Maya regions, it features re-enactments of the archaeological expeditions that uncovered what we know about the Maya and showcases some of their most remarkable achievements in mathematics, writing, astronomy and calendrics. Dig into the story of the Maya and wonder at the vastness and grandeur of their once-hidden ancient cities in a movie experience that only the Omnitheater can provide.
