On July 14, 2009 U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Steven Chu announced the availability of nearly $300 million in funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for state-run rebate programs for consumer purchases of new ENERGY STAR qualified home appliances.

When tucking our new plants into garden beds for the summer, we'll want to consider the plant's Hardiness Zone. The region where the coldest winter temperatures occur will determine the zone, such as 1 to 10. More recently, the heat and humidity are being considered as equally limiting.
