Legal Help and Immigration Fraud
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has information about obtaining legal advice for immigration issues and protecting against immigration fraud. "Don’t Be a Victim of Immigration Fraud" brochures to download are available in several languages, including Spanish and Chinese.

Find Citizenship Classes
Call the Minnesota Literacy Council for help finding citizenship, GED, or English classes. The Adult Literacy Hotline phone number is 800-222-1990. You can also search their database of programs online.

Free walk-in legal clinics
LawHelpMN.org provides a calendar that lists free walk-in clinics in Minnesota that provide legal advice on immigration. A weekly clinic is offered at United Methodist Church, Minneapolis, by the Volunteer Lawyers Network. Other clinics are held monthly.

New Citizenship Exam
This fall the USCIS introduced a redesigned citizenship test to be used starting in 2008. At USCIS.gov, you can find out which test applicants will take, see the new questions and vocabulary, read the FAQ and a comparison of content in the current vs. the new tests.
