Search this Summer Camps site for ideas.  Looking for something close to home?  Take a look at Go City Kids for a variety of activities for a variety of ages.  If you're staying in town, don't forget that your library offers great programs as well.  Before you go on your adventures, have your kids explore the Safe-A-Rooni interactive site that teaches them about safety.

Database searching
Use phrases such as "child care", "parenting", "child development", and sometimes "child rearing" when searching our periodical databases for articles of interest.  ProQuest has a Topics tab that will suggest related subjects, and other databases also have tools to suggest recommended wording.

Minnesota Parents Know
Find video and audio file Tips and a Parenting Helpline at MN Parents Know from the state Department of Education.   It provides a wealth of information about newborns and is developing pages for children ages 1-2, ages 3-5, grades K-8, and grades 9-12.  This and other local resources can be found in our Minnesota Parent subtopic.
