Patent Workshop
If you've been thinking about applying for a patent, sign up for the Patent Workshop for Inventors, Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners. Walt Johnson, librarian for Hennepin County Library's Patent and Trademark Resource Center at Minneapolis Central will cover intellectual property basics, the patent process and how to do a preliminary patent search. This introductory workshop is scheduled at Ridgedale on June 26, Southdale on July 22, and Minneapolis Central on August 7. Register online or call your local library to register.

Celebrating Our Family Stories
Cover Art Hennepin County Library has joined the Twin Cities in celebrating Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Pride this June by offering a variety of programs, including "Celebrating our Family Stories" a program for children and families in collaboration with Family Equality Council, Rainbow Rumpus and COLAGE, and in partnership with Urban Arts Academy.
Find books and resources year-round by visiting any of the 41 HCL locations, and viewing our online booklists that feature and celebrate LGBT familes.

Ojibwe People's Dictionary
The Ojibwe People's Dictionary is a searchable, talking Ojibwe-English dictionary that features the voices of Ojibwe speakers. It is also a gateway into the Ojibwe collections at the Minnesota Historical Society. Along with detailed Ojibwe language entries and voices, you will find beautiful cultural items, photographs, and excerpts from relevant historical documents.
