History
The Monday Welfare Club was organized in Minneapolis in 1924 and federated in 1924. The purpose of the club was to help brighten the lives of others and bring aid to the needy. Funds for the clubs philanthropic efforts were raised by a variety of activities including holding rummage sales and selling perfume. Meetings were held on the second Monday of each month. Meetings and events were held at the Alice Ames Winter House 1630 Hennepin, at the Curtis hotel Tenth St and Third Ave S, or at the home of one of the members.
