Funny, in a farcical and slapstick fashion altogether different from Shakespeare. A man attempts to save himself from heartbreak by selecting his chosen bride as a young child and raising her in seclusion, only to find his best plans foiled.

Somewhat confusing. A girl who dresses like a boy to avoid the attention of unwanted suitors ends up falling in love with the Duke she serves. Trouble is, the Duke is in love with another fair maid, who falls for the first boy--or rather girl. This play provided the foundation for the movie She's the Man, incidentally.

Unlike any Holocaust survivor story I have ever read. A riveting story that really tests your mind. This is a hard book to put down once you have started to read it.

An amazing translation of this Middle English poem, which manages to capture many unique literary techniques, not only rhyme, but also inherent rhythm and a generous use of alliteration. I loved it.

I think this book was very inspiring. It inspires not only book worms but people who are related to abusive relationships with there family. Not only does this book inspire people it also shows an example of how abusive relationships are and how people should stop thinking about what they want and start thinking about what they need. SO if you are looking for a book that is worth more than reading I suggest you read "A Child Called It". [Sequel is The Lost Boy]

I absolutely loved this book. It truely showed every point of view that was in that school which relates directly to me because my school also has a lot of "at risk" students. This book was believable, touching, and amazingly well written. There were some parts that were uncomfortable, i.g. use of certain slang/derogeratory terms, but they weren't used as a shock factor; these ebbed as the book went on and the writing got better. All in all a great book about tolerance that everyone should read!

I absolutely loved this book. It touched my heart, as the author described her ordeals in so much detail. She must have had immense bravery to want to write a memoir based on her life and struggled. This book has been very influential to me and I have recommended it to many of my friends.
"A Piece of Cake" made my cry and laugh and has been further reason for me to keep a chemical-free lifestyle for myself.
I loved it :)
