Ridgedale Library building project

Reopening: September 24, 2018

About the project

Ridgedale Library reopened after renovation on September 24. While the library was closed, holds pickup and a book drop for returns were still available, as well as other building services including the Hennepin County service center and courts and human services.

Library improvements included a more open floor plan with a variety of seating styles and reading areas, additional meeting and study rooms, enhanced areas for children and teens, increased access to technology, and new furniture. Infrastructure work to upgrade and maintain the rest of the building included replacement of mechanical and electrical systems, lighting upgrades and parking lot drainage improvement.
