Dementia and You with the City of Minnetonka

Building on the Memory Café social program and Dementia Friends trainings at the Minnetonka Community Center, Ridgedale Library will host a six-part program series this fall to offer supportive information and tools to dementia caregivers.

Dementia and You is a partnership with the City of Minnetonka’s Senior Services, as part of the city’s effort to become a dementia-friendly community. The Alzheimer’s Association calls dementia-friendly communities an “emerging movement,” and notes the goal for people with dementia and their caregivers to receive better community support and to have greater opportunities to stay actively engaged and remain at home as long as possible.
