The most popular titles in 2019
Long-time favorite authors like Sandford and Evanovich were joined by Delia Owens and Celeste Ng on our top 10 fiction list.
Last year there was high interest in titles like William Kent Krueger’s “Desolation Mountain” across formats. It was on the audiobooks list and the fiction list. Themes in nonfiction included self-improvement, history and memoir with Michelle Obama’s “Becoming” topping the list.

Last year’s teen fiction darling Angie Thomas, author of “The Hate U Give” took the top two spots on the list with “On the Come up” joining the party. Maybe in anticipation of the forthcoming prequel to The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins had two books on the teen fiction top 10 list.
Disney and Berenstain Bear’s stories were on the top 10 fiction for preschoolers list. Animals and trucks were favorite nonfiction subjects on the top 10 list for preschoolers.
There is soundtrack and film crossover appeal with “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “A Star Is Born” on the DVD and music CD top 10 lists.
