On Monday, January 21 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day), Hennepin County libraries are closed.
The Hennepin County Board of Commissioners approved an initial design for renovations of Oxboro Library. Design work will continue and staff will issue a request for proposals for construction work.
Renovations will begin in summer 2018 and cost an estimated $6.7 million. Along with building infrastructure work, the renovated library will feature more open and flexible spaces, new furniture and other finishes, and increased access to library services and resources, including technology.
The library will close during construction and is currently scheduled to reopen in winter 2019.
