About the art
High on the walls of Champlin Library hang three copper trees, their bare branches reaching toward the sky. They’re the work of Fountain City artist John Lange, whose chosen medium is copper and chosen subject is nature: trees, leaves, flowers, birds in flight—all connecting to the beauty of the Midwest. Here at the library, the tall reach of these copper trees reflects the mind reaching for knowledge and imagination expanding outward.
