Friends of the Hennepin County Library

Library supporters can make financial donations to Friends of the Hennepin County Library. As Hennepin County Library’s nonprofit fundraising partner Friends of HCL builds awareness, appreciation, and support for our nationally acclaimed library.

Donating books and other materials

Books can be donated at any Hennepin County Library. The library uses book donations to raise funds, working through a third-party vendor or local Friends groups to re-sell donated materials. Donated materials must be free of mold, tears, or other damage. The Library cannot accept gift subscriptions to magazines or newspapers.
