About the art
This 26-inch-tall sculpture captures a moment of grace: a lithe ballet dancer on pointe, one leg lifted delicately behind her. Library patron Pat Duncan donated the bronze sculpture to the library in remembrance of her daughter, Abbey Christine Duncan, herself a beautiful dancer. The piece also won the People’s Choice Award in a Members Salon Show at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts in 2013.
