About the art
There are multiple sculptures by Malcolm Moran in the Hennepin County Library system, and this is certainly one of the most iconic, bringing a beloved children’s-book character to life. Sculptor Malcolm Moran was a master of capturing children at play, and here he’s memorialized Christopher Robin (of A.A. Milne’s “Winnie the Pooh” fame) standing amid a delicate flock of birds. It’s a tribute to the innocent exploration of childhood and a testament to the enduring impact of children’s literature.
