About the art
Part of the entryway ensemble and conceived as four unique pieces, each bench is constructed as a steel framework inlaid with color and line. Corresponding to the bands of color in the floor below, each bench has a band of brightly colored ceramic and glass tile, suggesting the paths of people, information and ideas into the library.
