Cargill Gallery presents: Flora and Fauna Illustrata
Hennepin County Library announces its next Cargill Gallery exhibit, Flora and Fauna Illustrata.
This collection is an ongoing project to document and celebrate the diversity of life at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum – from the tiny green frog to the great green ash tree. Flora and Fauna Illustrata began in 2015 as a collaboration between the Library and Arboretum. Since then, the collection has grown to more than 100 juried works of art by more than 30 artists, many of them local. This exhibit features selected works from the collection, alongside the sketches and specimens the artists used to create scientifically accurate works of art.
Visit the exhibit at the Cargill Gallery, located on the second floor of Minneapolis Central Library, from December 5, 2024, through January 26, 2025.
