Rockford Road Library will reopen Monday, April 8

Rockford Road Library will reopen to the public Monday, April 8. The building has been closed for a planned renovation project. Work included structural repairs around the perimeter of the building, water management on the site, replacement of materials that did not meet current building or energy codes, and installing new bathroom tile, bird glass windows, carpet, furniture, and solar panels. Rockford Road will be the first Hennepin County Library to be equipped with solar panels, reducing the library’s energy footprint by feeding renewable energy back into the grid.

The library will reopen with regularly scheduled hours:

  • Monday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 12 – 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 12 – 8 p.m.
  • Thursday: 12 – 8 p.m.
  • Friday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Sunday: 12 – 5 p.m.

When the building reopens, please check your patron account to review pickup locations and update as necessary. If you need assistance, Ask Us, reach staff by phone at 612-543-KNOW (5669), or visit at any Hennepin County library.
