Continuing Conversations - Sumner Library Renovation Planning

Join a continuing conversation about the renovation plans for Sumner Library on Monday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m. The event will be led by library staff and architect Mohammed Lawal. Participants can also view drawings and floor plans, and share their feedback. All are welcome.

Mohammed Lawal is the CEO & Principal Architect of Lawal Scott Erickson Architects, Inc., a Minneapolis-based architecture, interior design, and planning firm devoted to making meaningful changes in how communities live, learn, and engage with one another.

Over the past fifteen years, Lawal has worked closely with Hennepin County Library on the creation of community-focused library spaces, beginning in 2004 with the award-winning expansion of the historic Sumner Library, his boyhood library, and continuing with East Lake Library, North Regional Library, Nokomis Library, Webber Park Library, and Oxboro Library.
