Crews making progress on Sumner Library renovation project

Noticeable progress has been made on the Sumner Library renovation project since the last update. Recent work highlights include:

Wall framing completed; drywall in progress
Spray insulation added to ceiling above new study rooms where vermiculite was removed
Window restoration in historic portions of building continues, with many units already restored
Installation of new fire sprinkler system for the main level in progress
Adaptation of existing wood shelves to work with new shelving system
Installation of magnet board in teen area
Framing of new wellness room completed

Upcoming Work

As we move further into spring, exterior work will begin, including masonry repairs and roof replacement.
