Sumner Library will reopen Tuesday, November 19
Sumner Library will reopen to the public Tuesday, November 19. The building has been closed for a planned renovation project. Work included interior and exterior renovations, historic preservation, refreshed youth space, and creation of additional meeting rooms.
The library will reopen with regularly scheduled hours:
- Monday: 12 – 8 p.m.
- Tuesday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Wednesday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Thursday: 12 – 8 p.m.
- Friday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Saturday: CLOSED
- Sunday: 12 – 5 p.m.

Reopening celebration
Join us to celebrate the reopening of Sumner Library on November 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. The event will feature family-friendly activities, live music, and refreshments. Remarks from Library Director Scott Duimstra and CEO of LSE Architects Mohammed Lawal at 2 p.m. Musical performance by Cornbread Harris at 2:30 p.m.
