About the art
It’s a familiar scene around here: a girl sitting reading, with a stack of books at her side. Local artist Janey Westin has memorialized that scene in sculpture with “Laura Reading,” made of white marble. The piece has been on loan from the artist since 1998 and has moved with the library itself, coming to the new building in 2002.
