The hours of Osseo Library will be expanded with a new self-service model beginning Sept. 11. Due to its unique location within Osseo City Hall, patrons will be able to access the library Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m., and Friday from 7:30-11:30 a.m., when Osseo City Hall is open.

During self-service hours visitors will be able to:

  • Pick up holds, return materials, and browse the collection,
  • Check out materials using a self-check machine,
  • Utilize library space to read books, newspapers, and magazines, and
  • Search the catalog, place holds, pay fees online, and browse online resources.

“We are very excited to implement a new self-service model at Osseo Library so that the community will have greater access to the services and resources within. We know that the library is important to nearby residents and the new self-service model allows us to keep the library doors open anytime City Hall is open,” said Amy McNally, deputy director of public services for Hennepin County Library.
